Fantastic image, Michele! I don't know what it is about dead trees or just leafless trees but I'm totally enamored. You really captured this one beautifully.

Thank you Marianne! There are some beautiful old cottonwoods by the river and I took many photos of them. I think they look more interesting after the leaves drop!

As an ardent environmentalist living in Alaska, I seek to capture the beauty of nature and the essence of my experiences through photography and digital art with photographic elements. We moved to Alaska from Northern California years ago in search of wilder places, and have not been disappointed. My partner Gene is a videographer, and we stay in Gustavus for the winter and do some traveling around Alaska and the Yukon Territory in the summer.
